vegas vacation.... too short!

I finished my finals by Saturday so that the mommas could drive down and pick me up on our way to vegas. It was well worth it although cramming for those few days was a bit scary for myself and probably my roommates haha. sorry guys. We got to Suzette's house Monday and that night went to Red Lobster for Mom's Birthday dinner. I freakin love Red Lobster buscuits is all I have to say. That night we basically just chilled with Suz, Ryker, Ledger and Lola.

The next day we went to the pool by Suz's house and had a picnic. It was Lola's first time in the water and she loved it. Ledger had to control himself at times... he had a problem with wanting to push Lola and splash her. That same night my Mom and I stayed at the Luxor hotel and watched Benjemin Button with M and M's. Luckily someone will watch it with me (hm... Megan).

Wednesday was shopping day! I would like to say I shopped for about 5 or 6 hours straight. World record time for me!! The outlets in vegas and I are best friends now with all that bonding time! After all day shopping we went Claim Jumper and to the movie "17 again". The movie started off high school musical style but by the end it turned out to be a decent movie. Loved it! Bedtime.... along with every other night, was nice and early around 10:00 :)

After a long day of shopping it was time again for a pool day at the Luxor. I was too excited to put my sunscreen on evenly so by the end of the day I looked like a tomato with leprecy or something. No good. We ate at cheesecake factory, and of course ordered suz's famous macoroni and cheese "Balls", don't forget the balls... once again early bedtime :)

The next two days we went back to Suz's house and just kinda chilled. Suz and I made freakin sweet headbands that we tried to mimick from Urban Outfitters. Let's just say we might start a business. I got to hang out with Ledger and Lola a ton these days too. Lola is all smiles! She is the happiest and sweetest baby I've ever seen! Ledger on the other hand is crazy. He has so much energy and needs constant attention and watch. I love that little boy with all my heart. We are best buds!

All and all the trip was amazing! Warm weather, lots of sleep, relaxation, niece and nephew, good food, and laughing = happiness! I hate to think it's over and now off to school with a lonely apartment... life can't always be perfect, but close :)

  4. KATIE!!! Um, this just in, I have the recipe for those Red Lobster biscuits. You'll have to catch me on Facebook and I'll give it to you. Try them and tell me if you think they are as good as the real thing. So far they have passed the in-laws test. Your trip sounded so fun. I need a vacation.
